Now that the year is a little over halfway through, I’ve been thinking about things that I still want to accomplish in 2018. At the beginning of the year I blogged about being intentional and goal setting. After running across ThatChickAngel’s Monday Motivation (love catching up on her videos), I was reminded to check my list of goals and see what I had accomplished so far. Some of them have already happened like when my husband and I went on a trip just the two of us. Some are still in progress such as remodeling the upstairs of our home and other are a long ways off – I doubt we’ll be taking any trips on a plane this year.
By revisiting my goals, I’m setting aside some of the ones that I can achieve and praying over the ones that are bigger than myself. (I guess really I should be praying about everything but some of these I know I need Jesus! 🙌🏿) At church on Sunday my pastor said, “have a dream that you can’t accomplish yourself.”. That stood out to me and I sure have plenty of those. Last week I shared some disappointments that I’ve been dealing with. By looking at my dreams and remembering how far I’ve come this year, I’m going to focus on the future and not let the past get me down which is hard but I’m determined.
Matthew 19:26 – Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
I’m still holding on to hope that some of the things that I’m praying for and dreaming about will happen this year. How about you guys? Are you having a good year so far? Are you achieving your dreams? Comment below!
