Oh, my spunky little girl! You have taught me so much in the 3 years that you’ve been in my life and I am a better person and woman because of you. Your silly spirit reminds me to have fun in the little things. Your ferocity reminds me to hold on to my convictions. You can be stubborn as all get out which as frustrating as it can be, I know that means you’ll hold on to what you believe when you’re older. As much as you can throw a mean fit you also show love with every fiber of your being.
You love unicorns as much as you love ninjas and although you can be as tough as the best of them, you also are very kind towards others. You are incredibly curious and ask “why” at least 10x a day and although it can drive me crazy and I don’t always have the answers, I’m happy to see you taking an interest in the things around you and learn with you.
This year you’ve become the middle child and moved up in ranks to big sister. As you start to engage more and more with your baby brother, you touch my heart every time you talk about how sweet/cute he is and I know you can’t wait until he can play with you. I can already see you telling him how to play pretend and what to say just like you do with your big brother. 😂
You literally take my breath away with things that you say. Sometimes because it’s shocking like when I put your hair in a ponytail for the first time last weekend and you told me that you looked “like a teenager”. 😶 Sometimes because it’s inappropriate like when you kept repeating the phrase “poo poo on your head” at the dinner table. Sometimes because it’s so sweet when you talk about how much you love the people in your life and want them to come over.
You always say thank you for the little things like having waffles for dinner or that I took you to the doctor or dentist. You’ve never met a stuffed animal that you didn’t love and your laughter is infectious. I’m so proud to call you my daughter and of the bright future that you have ahead of you.
