November is in full swing which means another month has gone by and over 2/3rds of my Project 333 is complete. Thank you, Jesus! All of the enthusiasm I had about how easy it was has waned. Something specifically happened in the month of October that changed everything. Can you guess what it is?
*Dramatic Pause*
*Drumroll*
If you guessed “the weather”, you’re correct. Give yourself a pat on the back! The weather over the past several weeks now reflects my favorite, breezy, colorful time of year. Also known as sweater weather. š Oh how I love Fall fashion! Boots, leggings, layers, and scarves. I’m here for ALL of it.
Starting the Project 333 challenge, in which your wardrobe is downsized to 33 items, excluding workout gear, loungewear – at home – and undergarments, I knew it was going to be a bit tricky. Especially considering the weather really changes to a high temperature between 40 and 65 sometime in October. But once Autumn kicked in, I knew I was through – at least in my heart. I’m not a fashionista in any sense of the word but I love to put together a Fall outfit.
Our family is going out of town later this month to a possible snowy climate but at least I included a warm coat complete with faux fur perfect for that sort of thing. The loose fitting dress that I’ll be wearing for Thanksgiving is also my saving grace, as it allows for maximum turkey consumption and bloat coverage. šš¦š
Here’s an update from my friend Melannie on her Project 333.

How has the 2nd month of Project 333 gone?
1. The 2nd month is going good. Iām starting to see some wear and tear on my clothes though. At least the ācheaper piecesā.
Do you have the same enthusiasm as last month?
2. Yes and no. I do believe Iāll continue to do this project after a short break from this round, but Iāll be getting more quality clothing. I have to let go of the mindset that I shouldnāt wear the same clothes over and over again. I was told this by a peer in middle school and ever since Iāve stuck to it. Bottom line – I feel like Iām wearing the same things over and over again. Maybe itās because Iām not the best at putting new outfits together.
Is there anything you miss about wearing whatever you want?
3. Yes, it means I donāt have to stay on top of my laundry because I can just grab anythingās no thatās clean instead of what is approved.
Have you learned anything from this project, specifically?
4. I need to invest in better quality clothing. Iāve tried to do this, but would ultimately fall into the, how many pieces can I get for this amount of money, trap.

Someone commented that they’d like to see what was in my 33 items so I’ll probably post that in December which will be the final 333 month for me . Maybe I’ll celebrate with a shopping spree. ššļø Just kidding. Sort of. š
