In 2018, I’ll be celebrating my 30th birthday and 10 year wedding anniversary. I have some goals that I hope to achieve in my household, relationships and within myself, not to mention some dreams that I’d love to see come true. (I addressed this in more detail in my first blog of the year.)
One thing I’ve learned is that accomplishing any sort of goal takes dreaming, planning and action. When I was younger, especially in high school, I loved to make to-do lists and check them off as I finished what needed to be done. (Yes, I know. Very Type-A.😂) I don’t always have time to write them out anymore but I still enjoy fully completing a task. I’m reminded of the scripture, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets so he may run who reads it.” – Habbakuk 2:2.
For me writing/typing things out helps me get my thoughts and priorities in order. This month, I started writing out things I’d like to accomplish each month. At the end of the month, I can review and see if I’ve met my goal. This month was to organize my closet, which I did. (Yay, adulting! 🎉)
I’ve also been reading books and listening to inspirational podcast that have fueled the fire of dreaming and I feel more ready than ever to see those come true with hard work.
Do you guys have any tips for sticking to your goals? I’d love to here them. Comment below!
